MAINTENANCE WORKER

Maintenance Worker performs duties to assist in the installation, maintenance and repair functions on facility equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs duties as directed to assist in the maintenance and repair of hospital buildings
    • Paints interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and trim using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
    • Moves and assembles scaffolding used in painting or repair work
    • Assists in carpentry repair and minor construction projects as directed by supervisor
    • Performs helper duties for electrical, mechanical, or refrigeration installation or repair projects
  • Sorts and stocks supplies and equipment
    • Places supplies and equipment received into proper storage areas
    • Helps perform accountability and record keeping on supplies and equipment
  • Other significant requirements
    • Uses caution when working with power tools, electricity or in close proximity to power equipment
    • Participates in department call schedules
