Under the supervision of the lead housekeeper, performs various duties to maintain a clean and environmentally safe and pleasant facility for the residents and staff of the Health Care Center to include cleaning and trash collection in assigned areas.

Payscale: Non-Exempt, Hourly, Call Pay, No Differential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Maintains Supplies and Equipment
- Uses equipment and supplies efficiently as directed to maintain cleanliness of MHCC areas assigned
- Reports problems with equipment to Housekeeping Director
- Knows and follows MSDS regarding use and disposal of chemicals used for cleaning
Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions in residents’ rooms
- Follows policies on handling potentially infectious and hazardous materials using aseptic techniques
- Follows established cleaning schedule
- Cleans residents’ rooms
- Collects trash in resident’s rooms and restrooms
- Cleans walls, windows, doors, and ceilings
- Dusts furniture and dusts and wet mops floors
- Cleans residents’ bathrooms and all sink basins.
Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions in other areas of the Healthcare Center as assigned
- Cleans bathrooms and basins
- Cleans furniture, fixtures, and Care Center’s surfaces
- Cleans lobby and other public areas of the Health Care Center
- Cleans floors by dry or wet mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting as necessary
- Collects trash in all areas of the Health Care Center and transports to the dumpster
- Disposes of other waste as directed
- Cleans all barrels and closets weekly in assigned areas
- Clean other areas as assigned or directed
