<p><strong>RADIOLOGIC Technologist: </strong></p>



<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>Performs diagnostic radiology procedures on patients under radiologist supervision.</li>



<li>Follows body substance isolation policies to include frequent hand washing and cleaning all patient contact surfaces after each patient.</li>



<li>Verifies orders for accurate patient, exam, diagnosis, and laterality.</li>



<li>Properly educates patients regarding procedure and all associated preparations.</li>



<li>Positions patient properly. (Maintains acceptable repeat rate 4-6 %.)</li>



<li>Modifies procedures according to patient age and pathology as appropriate.</li>



<li>Permanently identifies exposures prior to submitting (uses markers).</li>



<li>Processes Digital Detectors proficiently.</li>



<li>Maintains equipment, detectors, reporting problems to supervisor.</li>



<li>Transports patients to and from department within 15 minutes of order when possible.</li>



<li>Properly performs patient immobilization and transfer when needed.</li>



<li>Consistently wears personnel radiation monitor and consistently wears lead aprons/gloves/glasses when appropriate.</li>



<li>Assists other providers, physicians, and departments in a professional manner.</li>

<li>Maintains ultrasound equipment, gel warmer, reporting problems to supervisor.</li>



<li>Consistently wears gloves on scanning hand.</li>

<li>Maintains MRI equipment, coils, injectors reporting problems to supervisor.</li>

<li>Obtains images as required by protocol manual for each exam.</li>

<li>Maintains mammography equipment, paddles, peripherals reporting problems to supervisor.</li>



<li>Performs all regulatory QA and associated communication consistent with ACR, FDA, and MQSA protocols.</li>

<li>Assists in scheduling exams, giving necessary prep information.</li>

<li>Sends exams to Radiologist and scans in associated consents, questionnaires, worksheets, and reports.</li>



<li>Follows procedures for burning CD’s for patient transfer or DICOM Transfer, maintaining log of all imaging transfers.</li>



<li>Communicates positively and respectfully to audience (coworkers, patients, physicians, and others)</li>
