Administers skilled nursing care for clients of all ages in their place of residence. Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, patient, families, and referring agency. Assumes responsibility for coordination of care.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Current knowledge of nursing principles, standards and practices. Ability to independently manage multiple priorities. Ability to meet deadlines, make quick decisions, and resource acquisition.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate)
Current Texas State license or NLC as a Registered Nurse.
Current valid drivers license.
Two years experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical care setting preferred; home health preferred.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
Reliable transportation with valid and current automotive liability insurance.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing. Pushing and pulling, repetitive motion, lifting and carrying up to fifty pounds. Kneeling, bending crawling, and climbing. Must have hearing acuity for equipment alarms, and have vision acuity to read labeling, and instructions. Must be able to travel.
