The Seminole Hospital District Fitness Center will re-open on Monday, May 18th at 5am. In accordance with State guidelines, the locker rooms, showers and sauna will not be available until further notice. A full list of safety guidelines will be given to all members upon arrival at the Fitness Center. For questions call (432) 758-4837.
Each member and staff will be screened for symptoms before entering the fitness center
Staff will wear masks and gloves while screening each user(member/visitor/guest)
Social distancing of 6 feet will be maintained throughout the facility.
A maximum of 73 members will be allowed in fitness center at (any) one time. This includes 28 members maximum in the cardio/machine weights area. 18 members in the weight room. 18 members in the aerobics area. 7 members in the pool. 2 members in the hot tub.
All showers, locker rooms, and saunas will remain closed until further notice. Restrooms will remain opened.
Subject to sanitation mandates that will be given – Each staff member will be required to clean and disinfect each piece of equipment or any regularly touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, tables, chairs, and restrooms frequently during shift
Each user (members, visitors, guests, Hospital employees, directors, volunteers, patients and contractors) will be required to wash hands entering and leaving the workout areas and to clean and disinfect each piece of equipment that they use. Cleaning products will be provided throughout the facility. Hand sanitizers will also be placed throughout the facility
All users will be sent home or not allowed to enter this facility who demonstrate any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19: Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19
M.S. Doss Fitness Center, along with Cardiac Rehabilitation, offers rehabilitation and exercise programs designed to help people become healthy and stay well. The fitness center is fully equipped with state-of-the-art exercise equipment designed to support cardiac and physical therapy patients during their rehabilitation programs. The equipment and resources are available to the community at large for a small monthly fee. Special events are also sponsored by the Fitness Center.
All members must be at least 18 years old. Children are not permitted in the facility. Memberships are on a month to month schedule, no contracts. Check with us for the current fee when you start your membership.
