At Seminole Hospital District, our patients and visitors are our first priorities. Please review some of our frequently asked questions. If you do not find your question answered, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to take care of your questions.

Do I have to wear a mask at the hospital?

Seminole Hospital District sees over 300 visitors per day to our facilities.  In accordance with federal and state guidelines, all visitors must have a face mask to enter the facilities.  We urge everyone to please bring their own mask with them when visiting – this can be a surgical type mask or a cloth mask.  If you have been given a mask by the hospital district, please re-use the mask each time you come.  Thank you for your cooperation and support.

How do I become a new patient?

What do I need to know about the hospital campus?

NON-SMOKING

Seminole Hospital District is a smoke free campus. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas outside of the facility.

WIFI ACCESS

Memorial Hospital provides free public WiFi throughout our facility. In order to use this service, connect to the smh_public wifi and accept to EULA agreement before using.

VENDING MACHINES

Vending Machines are located just off the main entrance and main lobby for our guests.

GIFT SHOP

Our gift shop is located at the main entrance of the hospital. The Gift Shop is open Monday through Friday from 9AM until 5PM. The gift shop delivers newspapers to patients, welcome new babies with a t-shirt, guide flourists to the correct patient room, and keep the gift shop open.

CHAPEL

Our chapel is offered to patients and their families to fulfill spiritual needs. The chapel is located across from admissions near the main entrance of the hospital.

SECURITY

Seminole Hospital District is not responsible for valuables left in your room, we strongly encourage you to give extra money, medications, credit cards, wallets, etc. to a family member or close friend to take home. If this is not an option, please ask your nurse to put your valuables in the hospital safe.

CAFETERIA

Our cafeteria is open from 6AM – 6PM on Monday through Saturday. It is closed on Sundays. Once construction is complete, the cafeteria will be open to the public!

How do I request records?

If you are needing your records for continued care or insurance purposes, please contact the hospital Medical Records department at 432-758-4883.

If the records are clinic records and are needing to be transferred to another physician, please contact the new physician office to have them fax over a release of records form to the individual Seminole Hospital District physician clinic.

How do I apply to be a part of Aerocare?

AirMedCare Network is an alliance among Air Evac Lifeteam, EagleMed, Med-Trans Air Medical Transport and REACH Air Medical Services creating America’s largest air ambulance membership network.

Can I pay my bill online?

Yes! During the registration process you will be asked for your email address. This email address will be used to set up your portal online and will email you shortly after with instructions on how to view your portal. Through the patient portal you will be able to see lab results along with pay your bill online.

What kinds of insurance does Seminole Hospital District accept?

Seminole Hospital District currently accepts Medicare and Medicaid along with most larger insurance companies. If you have questions about whether or not we accept your insurance, please contact the Memorial Hospital Business Office at 432-758-5811.
