The SHD Gift Shop Volunteers consists of community members who volunteer their time to work in the Gift Shop and raise funds for their scholarship. The Volunteers staff the Gift Shop Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Proceeds from the Gift Shop are generously donated to the Hospital to fund various projects including the Seminole Memorial Hospital Gift Shop Scholarship. In the past those projects have included, the purchase of car seats for newborns, and the remodeling or redecorating of patient rooms and waiting areas. These ladies and gentlemen show tremendous dedication to Memorial Hospital and our patients. We greatly appreciate their support.
Seminole Hospital District also hosts volunteer chaplains.
More information coming soon.
Each year the SHD Gift Shop Volunteers organize special events, such as bake sales and concession stands, to raise money for a scholarship. The Seminole Memorial Hospital Gift Shop Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from Seminole High School who will be pursuing a career in the medical field.
A committee of Gift Shop Volunteers reviews submitted scholarship applications. All applications are reviewed without the students’ identifying information, so each may be given a fair chance. Recipients will be chosen based on achievements, goals, leadership examples, and essay content.
Congratulations to the 2022-2023 Seminole Memorial Hospital Gift Shop Scholarship recipients: Jason Lawrence and Kaegen Lovelady.
