Maintenance Worker performs duties to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair functions on facility equipment.
Shift(s): Hourly, Non-exempt, Call pay, Call back pay
Supervises: None
Location(s): Seminole Hospital District
Primary Responsibilities
Performs duties as directed to assist in the maintenance and repair of hospital buildings
- Paints interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and trim using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Moves and assembles scaffolding used in painting or repair work
- Assists in carpentry repair and minor construction projects as directed by supervisor
- Performs helper duties for electrical, mechanical, or refrigeration installation or repair projects
Sorts and stocks supplies and equipment
- Helps perform accountability and record keeping on supplies and equipment
- Places supplies and equipment received into proper storage areas.
Other significant requirements
- Participates in department call schedules
- Uses caution when working with power tools, electricity or in close proximity to power equipment.

- Reports adverse events regarding patients, guests, or self to supervisor immediately.
Job Qualifications
Education
- High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and write
