Provides flexible, patient-centered evaluations and treatments for inpatient and outpatient populations in a rural hospital setting. Responsible for diagnosing swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive disorders, managing diverse ages and conditions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary rural healthcare team on an as-needed basis.

Physical and Mental Requirements
- moderate periods of sitting/standing/walking

Responsibilities:
- Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing functions
- Plan and deliver evidence-based therapy for adults and pediatric patients
- Performs or assist with modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) or FEES if qualified.
- Complete accurate clinical notes and billing records in a timely manner.
- Coordinate care with nurses, doctors, physical therapists, and family members.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State license to practice speech-language pathology
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Previous medical setting experience preferred; comfort with a wide clinical scope in a rural environment.
