Biography

Nicole Shields is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Supervisor, and Board-Certified counselor with over 25 years of extensive experience in mental health and social work. She is the owner and lead therapist at Holding Hope Counseling, where she provides therapeutic services.
Nicole’s career spans a broad spectrum of roles, including Child Protective Services, Rape Crisis Counseling, Emergency Department Crisis Intervention, Perinatal Mental Health, and Mental Health Outreach. She has also contributed to disaster recovery as part of the Hurricane Katrina Crisis Team and played a pivotal role in the development and establishment of mental health clinics.
Nicole holds a Master of Science in Social Work, a Master of Science in Family Life Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Her extensive background and commitment to mental health make her a respected leader and trusted professional in the field.
